d Glass House Experience
Who doesn't love a good lasting and flavorful Sheesha experience!
Well me and my friends frequently visit Hookah places and love to hang out for long conversations. Throw in good food and you have us enrolled for life. A day before my Birthday my friends and I decided to try a new place by the name of 'Glass House' in Malad as all of us happened to be in the same area.
The place is just off the S.V.Road, very near to Inorbit mall. However, given its location, you need to ask couple of people to finally reach its lift. Its located on a Rooftop (obviously). What struck me the moment I entered the place was the 2000's Hip Hop / Rap music like In da Club by 50 cent, Not Afraid by Eminem and likes which I love. So the tone of the night was set because of the Music. The place had some very interesting and quirky quotes on the walls that relate to your day to day lives and will make you laugh. It also has a 5000sqft odd extended rooftop where you may smoke or go get some fresh air if you may please. This place also has a decently stocked Bar. Did not try anything except for Breezer, so not too sure about their poison and mixes.
Unlike the popular belief of Sheesha and mughlai combo, Glass door had a combo of Indo-Italian fusion food. Going by the taste, I definitely recommend that one should have these cuisines when made separately and not in a fusion form. I mean Paneer Tacos were not palatable at all.
On the up side, the Sheesha that we ordered was very good and smooth. The server was on his toes with respect to changing the coal, which usually other places do only post you request them to. However, you could only enjoy your Sheesha for 40 mins. Post that you have to order for a new one as they take away your existing one, which I felt was not correct as a Sheesha usually lasts for atleast 1.5 hrs. So we had to give back our unfinished Hookah.
Price point wise the place is decently priced. My only request to them is that if you open a Sheesha place, you should be reasonable with your Sheesha time restrictions. 40 mins is too less.
